These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of The Tactics App.
Please read these Terms carefully before creating an account, starting a free trial, purchasing a subscription or using The Tactics App.
By creating an account, purchasing or starting a subscription, or otherwise using The Tactics App, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who We Are

In these Terms, “The Tactics App”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to PCTACTICS APP LTD.
2. The Tactics App
The Tactics App is a football tactics, coaching, analysis, scouting and presentation application that allows users to create tactical visuals, animations, diagrams, projects and related content.
Features may include:
- Creating tactical projects
- Creating tactical animations
- Creating formations and diagrams
- Adding players, equipment, shapes and movements
- Adding notes and tactical information
- Saving projects locally
- Saving projects to the cloud
- Synchronising cloud projects between authorised devices
- Exporting content
- Other features that we may introduce from time to time
Some features may depend on your subscription plan.
3. Eligibility and Younger Users
There is currently no general minimum age for using The Tactics App.
However, if you are under 18, you should only use The Tactics App with the permission of a parent or legal guardian.
Where the law requires a parent or guardian to enter into a subscription or provide consent on your behalf, the parent or guardian must do so.
If you use The Tactics App on behalf of a club, business, academy, organisation or other entity, you confirm that you have authority to use the service on its behalf and, where applicable, to accept these Terms on its behalf.
4. Your Account
You must provide accurate information when creating and maintaining your account.
You are responsible for:
- Keeping your account information accurate
- Keeping your login credentials secure
- Protecting access to your account
- Ensuring that your account is not used without your permission
- Informing us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised
Your account is personal to you unless it has been expressly provided as part of an organisation or club arrangement.
Account Sharing
You must not share your account with another person.
Each individual user must use their own account and licence unless we expressly agree otherwise.
You must not:
- Give another person your login credentials
- Allow another person to regularly use your account
- Share one subscription between multiple people
- Attempt to avoid device or licence limits
- Sell, transfer or rent your account to another person
We may restrict, suspend or terminate accounts where we reasonably believe account sharing, subscription abuse or unauthorised access is taking place.
5. Subscription Plans
The Tactics App currently offers two individual subscription levels:
Basic
and
Pro
The features available under each plan are described at the time of purchase and may also be displayed within The Tactics App or on our website.
Basic
A Basic subscription may be activated on up to 1 authorised device.
Pro
A Pro subscription may be activated on up to 3 authorised devices.
All devices must be used by the account holder. A Pro subscription does not allow three different people to share one account.
We may change the features included within Basic or Pro from time to time. We will not remove material paid functionality during a paid subscription period without reasonable justification and, where appropriate, notice.
6. Club and Organisation Purchases
A club, academy, business or other organisation may purchase subscriptions for multiple coaches or staff members.
Each coach or staff member must have their own authorised account.
The level of access provided to each coach will correspond to the subscription purchased or allocated to that coach.
For example, where an organisation purchases a Basic subscription for a coach, that coach receives Basic access. Where it purchases Pro access, that coach receives Pro access.
Purchasing multiple subscriptions does not permit account sharing.
The organisation purchasing subscriptions is responsible for deciding who should receive its licences and for informing us when licences need to be reassigned, cancelled or changed.
7. Free Trial
We may offer eligible users a 7-day free trial.
A valid payment method may be required when starting the trial.
Unless you cancel before the trial expires, your selected subscription will automatically become a paid subscription and the applicable subscription charge will be taken using your selected payment method.
The price that will apply after the trial will be displayed before you start the trial.
You are responsible for cancelling your trial before the trial ends if you do not wish to become a paying subscriber.
We may restrict certain features during a free trial.
We may also limit free trials to one per person, account, payment method, device or household where reasonably necessary to prevent trial abuse.
Attempting to repeatedly obtain free trials by creating multiple accounts or using false information is prohibited.
8. Monthly Subscriptions
If you select a monthly subscription, your subscription will renew automatically each month unless you cancel it.
Your payment method will be charged the applicable monthly subscription price on each billing date.
You can cancel your subscription at any time.
Unless otherwise stated, cancellation stops future payments and your access will continue until the end of the period you have already paid for.
9. 12-Month Discount Option
We may offer customers the option to purchase their first 12 months of access at a discounted rate.
This is a promotional or discounted first-year arrangement. It is not an automatically renewing annual subscription.
The total price and the period covered by the discounted payment will be displayed before purchase.
The discounted payment provides access for the first 12 months.
At the end of those 12 months, your subscription will automatically move onto the standard monthly subscription price for your selected plan unless you cancel before the first monthly payment is taken.
The monthly price that will apply will be shown when you purchase the subscription. If that monthly price subsequently changes, we will provide reasonable notice before the new price is charged.
After the initial 12-month discounted period:
- You will be billed monthly
- Your subscription will continue automatically each month
- You can cancel at any time
- There is no new 12-month commitment unless you expressly agree to one
Cancelling during the initial 12-month period will prevent future renewal but will not ordinarily result in a partial refund for unused time, except where these Terms or applicable law provide otherwise.
10. Automatic Renewal
Subscriptions continue automatically until cancelled.
Depending on the subscription you select, automatic billing may occur:
- At the end of a free trial
- Monthly
- At the end of the initial discounted 12-month period, when monthly billing begins
By starting a subscription with automatic renewal, you authorise our payment provider to charge your selected payment method for the applicable subscription payments until you cancel.
You may cancel your subscription before the next scheduled payment to prevent that payment from being taken.
11. Payments
Payments may be processed using Stripe or PayPal.
You agree to provide valid and current payment information.
Your payment provider may store your payment method to process future subscription payments.
We do not store your full payment card number, card security code or PayPal password.
If a payment fails, we may:
- Retry the payment
- Ask you to update your payment method
- Restrict access to paid features
- Suspend your subscription until payment is received
You remain responsible for valid charges incurred before cancellation.
12. Refunds
Automatic Renewal Refunds
If a subscription payment is taken automatically following a renewal, you may request a refund within 3 calendar days of the payment being taken.
This includes eligible automatic subscription renewal payments and automatic conversion from a free trial to a paid subscription.

We may ask you to provide information necessary to identify the relevant account and transaction.
After 3 Days
After the 3-calendar-day refund period has passed, subscription payments are generally non-refundable.
We do not ordinarily provide refunds because:
- You changed your mind
- You forgot to cancel
- You did not use the application
- You no longer require the application
- You only used part of the subscription period
However, nothing in these Terms limits any refund, cancellation, repair, replacement, price reduction or other right that you are entitled to under applicable consumer law.
Statutory Rights
If you are a consumer, you may have additional legal rights that cannot be excluded by these Terms.
Where applicable law provides you with a cooling-off or cancellation right, we will comply with that right.
Where permitted by law, if you expressly request immediate access to digital content or functionality during a statutory cooling-off period, you may be asked to consent to immediate supply and acknowledge any effect this has on your statutory cancellation rights.
Our contractual 3-day automatic-renewal refund policy is additional to, and does not replace, any mandatory rights you have under law.
13. Cancelling Your Subscription
You may cancel your subscription through the cancellation method made available with your account or by contacting us where necessary.
Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the subscription period you have already paid for.
After cancellation:
- Future subscription payments will stop
- Your paid access will continue until the end of your paid period unless otherwise stated
- Your account does not automatically need to be deleted
- Your cloud projects may remain associated with your account
- Paid functionality may become unavailable when your subscription expires
Cancelling a subscription and deleting an account are separate actions.

14. Offline Access and Licence Verification
The Tactics App may allow authorised users to use certain functionality while offline.
An active licence may remain valid offline for up to 30 days before an internet connection is required to verify the subscription or licence again.
You are responsible for connecting the device to the internet when licence verification is required.
If the application cannot verify an active licence after the permitted offline period, access to some or all functionality may be temporarily restricted until the licence can be verified.
You must not attempt to bypass, disable, modify or interfere with licence verification.
15. Licence to Use The Tactics App
Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of any applicable subscription fees, PCTACTICS APP LTD grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to install and use The Tactics App on the number of devices permitted by your subscription.
This licence allows you to use The Tactics App for legitimate personal and professional football-related purposes.
You do not purchase or acquire ownership of The Tactics App itself.
Your right to use the software continues only while you have the appropriate licence or other authorised access.
16. Ownership of The Tactics App
The Tactics App and its underlying technology and intellectual property belong to PCTACTICS APP LTD or its licensors.
This includes, where applicable:
- Software
- Source code
- Object code
- User interface
- Application design
- Branding
- Logos
- Icons
- Player graphics
- Equipment graphics
- Pitch graphics
- Built-in visual assets
- Animation systems
- Templates
- Application workflows
- Documentation
- Proprietary functionality
- Database structures
- Other intellectual property contained within the application
Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of this intellectual property to you.
17. Your Content
You retain ownership of the original tactical and creative ideas that you independently create using The Tactics App.
For example, subject to any applicable third-party rights, you retain ownership of your original:
- Tactical ideas
- Formations
- Coaching practices
- Tactical instructions
- Coaching notes
- Analysis
- Scouting notes
- Project arrangements
- Original written content
However, your ownership of your original ideas and content does not give you ownership of The Tactics App itself, including our software, graphics, templates, systems, visual assets, animation technology or other proprietary materials.
Where your exported content contains visual elements, graphics, animations or other materials generated using The Tactics App, those elements remain part of The Tactics App’s proprietary technology and are made available to you solely for your personal, non-commercial use in accordance with these Terms.
You may save, export, share and display content created using The Tactics App for personal use, subject to these Terms.
You may not use exported content created using The Tactics App for any commercial purpose unless you have received prior written permission from PCTACTICS APP LTD.
Your ownership of your original tactical and creative ideas does not override the restrictions on the use of Tactics App-generated content set out in these Terms.
18. Permitted Personal Use
The Tactics App is licensed for personal, non-commercial use only.
You may use The Tactics App and content exported from it for your own personal purposes.
For example, you may use content you create to:
- Plan your own football sessions
- Develop and organise your own tactical ideas
- Create formations and tactical concepts
- Analyse football matches for personal use
- Study and develop your coaching knowledge
- Complete personal or educational work, where no commercial use is involved
- Share tactical ideas privately with friends, teammates or other individuals
- Create and keep personal coaching notes
- Save, export and store your own projects
- Display or share exported content for non-commercial purposes
Unless we expressly state otherwise, you are not required to credit The Tactics App when sharing content for permitted personal, non-commercial purposes.
Any separate sponsorship, creator, affiliate, partnership or promotional agreement may contain its own attribution requirements.
19. Commercial Use, Resale and Monetisation
You must not use The Tactics App or any content exported from The Tactics App for commercial purposes unless you have received prior written permission from PCTACTICS APP LTD.
Commercial use includes any use intended to generate revenue, profit, commercial advantage or other financial benefit, whether directly or indirectly.
Without prior written permission, you must not use The Tactics App or Tactics App-generated content to:
- Sell or resell tactical content
- Sell individual tactical animations
- Sell individual drills, practices or tactical diagrams
- Sell packs, bundles or collections of Tactics App-generated content
- Create or operate a paid tactical practice library
- Create or operate a paid drill library
- Create or operate a subscription-based tactics or coaching library
- Create a paid membership platform containing Tactics App-generated content
- Build a paid website or application whose content includes or substantially relies on Tactics App-generated material
- Use Tactics App-generated content in sponsored, branded or promotional content
- License, distribute or provide Tactics App-generated content to third parties for commercial use
- Resell or distribute Tactics App project files
- Sell templates or other materials based on our proprietary application assets
- Use The Tactics App to create content for clients or third parties in exchange for payment
- Offer a commercial service based on creating Tactics App content for others
- Use The Tactics App or its generated output to support or operate a competing product, service, content library or commercial platform
The fact that you retain ownership of your original tactical ideas, coaching concepts or written content does not give you the right to commercially use, sell, license or monetise exported Tactics App-generated content.
Commercial Permission
If you wish to use The Tactics App or content exported from it for any commercial, professional, monetised or revenue-generating purpose, you must first obtain prior written permission from PCTACTICS APP LTD.
We may, at our discretion, offer a separate commercial licence or provide written permission for a specific use.

20. Prohibited Uses
You must not use The Tactics App to:
- Break applicable law
- Infringe another person’s intellectual property rights
- Violate another person’s privacy or data protection rights
- Commit fraud
- Harass or harm another person
- Gain unauthorised access to our systems
- Circumvent subscription restrictions
- Circumvent device limits
- Circumvent licence verification
- Share individual accounts between multiple users
- Exploit free trials
- Interfere with the normal operation of the application
- Introduce malicious software or code
- Attempt to gain access to another user’s account
- Use automated systems to scrape or extract substantial amounts of data from the application
- Use the application to create an unauthorised competing content library or resale business
21. Reverse Engineering and Copying
You must not, except where applicable law expressly gives you a right that cannot lawfully be restricted:
- Reverse engineer The Tactics App
- Decompile the application
- Disassemble the application
- Attempt to discover or extract source code
- Modify application binaries
- Circumvent technical protection measures
- Extract proprietary assets from the application
- Copy or reproduce substantial parts of the software
- Reproduce our user interface for a competing product
- Copy our proprietary visual assets for use outside permitted Tactics App outputs
- Create derivative software substantially based on our proprietary code
- Use technical methods to bypass subscription or licence controls
- Assist another person to do any of these things
You must not use access to The Tactics App to obtain proprietary information for the purpose of developing or assisting the development of a substantially competing software product.
22. Player and Third-Party Information
The Tactics App allows users to enter information relating to players, coaches, teams and other people.
You are responsible for information that you enter into your projects.
If you enter personal information about another person, you are responsible for ensuring that you have an appropriate lawful basis or authority to do so.
This is particularly important where information relates to:
- Youth players
- Academy players
- Scouting information
- Coaching observations
- Personal data about another person
You must not use The Tactics App to unlawfully collect, store or distribute personal information.

23. Third-Party Intellectual Property
You are responsible for ensuring that content you create or information you enter does not unlawfully infringe the rights of another person or organisation.
The ability to type or display a name, club, team, competition or other reference within The Tactics App does not mean that PCTACTICS APP LTD grants you any rights in that third-party intellectual property.
You are responsible for how you use third-party names, trademarks and other protected material in your own output.
24. Local Projects
Projects saved locally are stored on your computer.
You are responsible for:
- Managing local files
- Protecting local files
- Creating backups where important
- Ensuring sufficient storage is available
- Deleting files you no longer require
We strongly recommend maintaining your own backup of important professional projects.
25. Cloud Projects
The Tactics App may allow projects to be stored using our cloud infrastructure.
We take reasonable measures to provide reliable cloud storage, but no cloud service can guarantee that data will never be lost, corrupted or temporarily unavailable.
You should maintain local copies or backups of particularly important projects where reasonably possible.
We may impose reasonable technical limits on cloud storage or usage where necessary to protect the service.
Cloud projects are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
26. Updates
We may release updates to The Tactics App from time to time.
Updates may include:
- Bug fixes
- Security updates
- Performance improvements
- Design changes
- New functionality
- Changes to existing functionality
- Compatibility updates
Some updates may be required to continue using the application.
You are responsible for keeping The Tactics App reasonably up to date.
We may discontinue support for outdated versions where reasonably necessary for security, compatibility or operational reasons.
27. System Requirements
The Tactics App is designed to operate on supported PC systems that meet our published system requirements.
Performance may vary depending on:
- Hardware
- Operating system
- Graphics capability
- Available memory
- Storage
- Internet connection
- Number and complexity of objects within a project
- Other software running on the device
We do not guarantee compatibility with devices or operating systems that do not meet our stated requirements.
28. Availability and Maintenance
We aim to make The Tactics App and its online services available reliably.
However, access may occasionally be interrupted due to:
- Maintenance
- Updates
- Security work
- Server problems
- Internet outages
- Third-party service failures
- Bugs
- Events outside our reasonable control
Where reasonably possible, we will try to minimise disruption.
We do not guarantee that cloud or online functionality will be available without interruption at all times.
Nothing in this section affects your statutory consumer rights where the service fails to meet requirements imposed by law.
29. Beta and Pre-Release Software
We may provide beta, preview or pre-release versions of The Tactics App.
Beta software is provided for testing and development purposes and may:
- Contain bugs
- Be incomplete
- Perform differently from the final release
- Include experimental functionality
- Experience crashes
- Have features added, removed or changed
You should not rely on beta software as the sole copy of business-critical projects.
Where beta access is provided free of charge, we may end or modify the beta programme at any time.
Nothing in this section excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
30. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to The Tactics App where we reasonably believe that you have:
- Seriously or repeatedly breached these Terms
- Shared your account
- Circumvented licence restrictions
- Attempted to pirate the application
- Reverse engineered the application
- Used a fraudulent payment method
- Abused free trials
- Attacked or interfered with our systems
- Used the application unlawfully
- Used The Tactics App to operate a prohibited commercial content library or resale business
- Created a material security risk for us or other users
Where appropriate, we may provide notice and an opportunity to remedy a breach.
We may suspend access immediately where reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, piracy, security risks, unlawful activity or significant harm.
If we terminate your account because of a serious breach of these Terms, you will not automatically be entitled to a refund for the remaining subscription period, except where required by law.
31. Closing Your Account
You may request closure and deletion of your account by contacting:
Deleting your account may permanently remove cloud projects and other account information.
Local project files independently stored on your computer will not automatically be deleted when your account is deleted.
Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more information about deletion and data retention.
32. Changes to Prices
We may change subscription prices from time to time.
A price change will not normally change the amount already paid for your current paid period.
If a price change will affect a future automatic payment, we will provide reasonable notice before the new price takes effect.
You may cancel your subscription before the new price is charged if you do not wish to continue at the new price.
33. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms where reasonably necessary, including because of:
- Changes to The Tactics App
- New functionality
- Changes to subscriptions
- Security requirements
- Changes in law or regulation
- Changes to our business or service providers
Where a change materially affects your rights or obligations, we will provide reasonable notice where required.
Changes will not retrospectively remove rights that you have already acquired under applicable law.
The latest version of these Terms will display the date it was last updated.
34. Consumer Rights
If you are using The Tactics App as a consumer, you have legal rights in relation to digital content and services.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts rights that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.
This includes applicable rights where digital content is:
- Not of satisfactory quality
- Not fit for a particular purpose that has been made known and agreed
- Not as described
Where applicable, you may have legal rights to remedies such as repair, replacement, repeat performance, a price reduction or refund.
These Terms are intended to operate alongside, rather than replace, your statutory consumer rights.
35. Our Responsibility to You
We are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill, subject to applicable law.
We are not responsible for losses caused solely by circumstances outside our reasonable control or by your failure to comply with these Terms.
We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- Breach of statutory consumer rights that cannot be excluded
- Any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited
Business Users
If you use The Tactics App primarily for business or professional purposes, to the fullest extent permitted by law we will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss, including:
- Loss of profit
- Loss of revenue
- Loss of business
- Loss of opportunity
- Loss of anticipated savings
Our total aggregate liability to a business user arising from their use of The Tactics App will, to the fullest extent permitted by law, normally be limited to the subscription fees paid by that user for The Tactics App during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
This limitation does not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited.
36. Your Responsibility
You are responsible for:
- Your use of The Tactics App
- Content you create
- Information you enter
- Ensuring your use complies with applicable law
- Protecting your account
- Maintaining appropriate backups
- Ensuring you have permission to process information about players or other individuals
- Ensuring that your published content does not infringe third-party rights
You are not responsible for matters caused solely by a defect in The Tactics App or by our failure to meet obligations imposed on us by law.
37. Third-Party Services
The Tactics App relies on certain third-party services and infrastructure, which may include:
- Microsoft Azure
- Stripe
- PayPal
- Sentry
These providers may have their own terms and privacy policies governing their services.
We are not responsible for independent services provided directly to you by third parties, except to the extent applicable law provides otherwise.
38. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us.
Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which should be read alongside these Terms.
39. No Transfer of Your Subscription
You may not sell, assign, sublicense or transfer your individual subscription or account to another person without our written permission.
We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms as part of a legitimate sale, merger, restructuring or transfer of The Tactics App or PCTACTICS APP LTD, provided this does not reduce your mandatory legal rights.
40. If Part of These Terms Is Invalid
If a court or other competent authority decides that part of these Terms is unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
The affected provision will apply to the greatest extent that the law permits.
41. No Waiver
If we do not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, this does not mean that we have waived our right to enforce it later.
42. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of any mandatory protections provided by the law of the country or part of the United Kingdom in which you live.
If you are a consumer, you may be entitled to bring legal proceedings in the courts available to you under applicable consumer law.
If you are using The Tactics App for business purposes, the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from or relating to these Terms, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
